Sculpture and Circular Economy:

Searching for coherence and constantly concerned by my environmental impact, I carve my sculptures in blocks of marble, granite and alabaster destined to be dumped. I often carve in old tombstones, forgotten stones or "waste'" blocks. Of course, this requires a very specific know-how, as these stones have suffered from time, knocks and frost... but it's an ethical, technical and aesthetic choice. # REUSE-REDUCE-RECYCLE

For this new bronze I've worked with turquoise blue pigments in order to achieve a very personal and contemporary patina.
Between who we are and who we think we are, what we show others, our different states...
Two female busts nested together, one of them fleshed out, the other fleshed in, one of them young, the other less; sending us back to our eternal duality.
Ecstatic, looking for the unbearable, the incomplete and the over-filled…
