Sculpture and Circular Economy:

Searching for coherence and constantly concerned by my environmental impact, I carve my sculptures in blocks of marble, granite and alabaster destined to be dumped. I often carve in old tombstones, forgotten stones or "waste'" blocks. Of course, this requires a very specific know-how, as these stones have suffered from time, knocks and frost... but it's an ethical, technical and aesthetic choice. #REUSE-REDUCE-RECYCLE

For this third bronze I choosed a black and brown patina that gives a quite different spirit to it.

Is she resting or in extreme tension?
Just a balanced instant that seems to be fixed for eternity.
The instant just before something we can't imagine yet...
Each time I cast a new bronze, I like to rework the chasing and the patina myself. This allows me to give each bronze a different soul. This is the artist's proof III of IV. And this time, instead of a light patina like the previous one, I've chosen a black patina flecked with brown.
